Introduction Course 4 introduces the concept of energy storage technologies key role in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability. Module 1 provide key definitions and introduces some of the relevant storage technologies. Module 2 provides a short introduction to the high thermal energy storage technologies. Who is this course for? Although intended as an introduction for professionals, to help them identify the new skills required for innovation on climate technologies, this course is also suitable for students and early career professionals who want to know more about the EU Cities Mission and related technologies for climate neutrality. Entry requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Learning Objectives After completing Course 4, participants will be able to: • Outline key elements of energy storage systems. • Explain the different types of energy storage systems. Modules 1. Overview of Energy Storage Technologies 2. Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Technologies Accreditations Participants after the completion of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance. Technical requirements Operating system: Windows 7+, Mac OS 10.9 Web browser: Google Chrome is the optimal browser. However other browsers (Firefox, Safari) are also compatible.
